What is CRASH Ministries?

In September 2006 we had a "name the ministry" contest. We wanted a name that would tell "who we are" and "what we believe" as a ministry. The winner was CRASH:

Colliding Relationally and Sharing Hope

It comes from Erwin McManus' book and video series The Barbarian Way, describing a herd of rhinos or a "crash." We want to be like those gigantic beasts running 30 MPH and seeing only 30 feet ahead - in other words we want to constantly "go for it!" for God. We want to be at the forefront of what God is doing in our church, our schools, and our homes.

Colliding Relationally - Sometimes making a new friend isn't easy. Sometimes the best relationships are built from accountability and even a little pain. We crave the "iron sharpens iron" relationships.

Sharing Hope - We have the greatest (and only) hope in the world... Knowledge of and relationship with Jesus Christ. We want to share Him with everyone, and give to them, what God has so generously given to us.

To be examples of Christ in our church, our homes, our schools, our work, and anywhere else God would place us.
